  I am a recent alumnus from Lutheran High School, and my experience there was fun, but that's all there was to it. (Although socially, it can become very inclusive there) I'm going to be honest, when it comes to academics, the school is weak. For starters, it's very lacking when it comes to discipline, it's incredibly easy to get a teacher to go off track, or for teachers to chat with each other, than to have class, causing the class to fall behind. Another thing is the entire English department is weak, having one teacher who, while is a very nice and knowledgeable man, should not be teaching English. The class was literally a study hall, which comes back to bite later. The only alternative is an online class, which lacks with student-teacher communication. Also, the entire AP class system they have is a joke, with very few barely passing any AP tests by the end of the year, and those who do are barely above the line. I have seen many students at public schools take advantage and have well over 4.0 GPA's, an opportunity 99% of LHS students don't have.
  I could go on for awhile about academics, but I will say this. The school is small, which gives anyone opportunity to play a sport they want. This is the best thing the school has to offer, because it is indeed a fun experience. So what it comes down to is, if you want to give your kids a solid education, stay away. If you just want them to have fun and breeze through, than this is the place for you.
